Black pepper has figured prominently in ayurvedic medicine for millennia. This warm, spicy essential oil exhibits significant anti-inflammatory effects. It improves symptoms of arthritis and rheumatism and helps relieve pain from muscle strains and tendinitis. As a powerful expectorant, it can alleviate respiratory congestion for colds and flus as well as asthma.

For external use only. This product is pure and potent, can burn the skin if applied directly. Always dilute to less than 2% in carrier oil for skin use. For aromatherapy, use 3-5 drops to your diffuser or a bowl of steaming water and inhale deeply. For physical therapy, dilute 2-3 drops to 30mL of carrier oil and massage onto the affected area. This oil may be blended with lavender to soften its effects.
